Pop Up
Pop Up’s are the most basic of all campers. People call these Tent Campers because they are like sleeping in a tent just off the ground. Depending on where you plan to camp, be aware certain areas of the country don’t allow Pop Up’s because they are in bear country.

Travel Trailer
Travel Trailers are the most popular RV you will see in a campground. You can get all the comforts of home in a travel trailer including amenities such as, outside kitchens a back deck and bunk beds for the smaller campers in your household.
Cost: $11,000-$35,000+
Length: 12-35 Feet
Weight: 1,200 – 9,000 lbs
5th Wheel
5th Wheels are the big brother to the travel trailer. These are usually much heavier than travel trailers and hook to your truck just like an 18-wheeler hooks up to its tractor. These are generally easier to pull and maneuver and have an untold number of floorplans and options.

Weight: 13,000 – 20,000+ lbs
Class C
Class C Motorhomes are the most popular of motorhomes. They generally sleep more people than any other motorhomes and are often preferred by families. They are built on a van chassis, either gas or diesel, and can generally be serviced by a car dealer or service center.
Cost: $50,000-$100,000+
Length: 21-41 Feet
Weight: 10,000 – 20,000 lbs.
Class B
Class B Motorhomes are the smallest of the motorhome family, and in most cases can be parked in a standard parking place. They are generally converted vans, or use the popular Sprinter chassis. You will find most of the amenities of other motorhomes, including kitchens and bathrooms. They are limited on the number of people they can sleep. Like a Class C, they are built on a van chassis, either gas or diesel, and can generally be serviced by a car dealer or service center.

Class A
Class A is the Granddaddy of them all. They are generally for those who are looking at long trips and full time life. Most Class A’s have one bed and a fold out couch or two, so they are not the best option for a family. However, some manufactures are adding overhead and bunk beds to these monsters to sleep more people. You can get them either with a front gas engine or a rear diesel engine (diesel pusher). Some gas models can be serviced at a general auto service center, but diesel versions need to be serviced by large diesel shops.
